Project Description
In response to Ministerial Agreement No. 061 of the Ecuadorian Ministry of Environment, which requires municipalities to present programmes to eliminate landfills by 2030, Enersite develops comprehensive MSW treatment proposals for municipalities, parish GADs and private companies nationwide.
Representation in Ecuador operates through ENERSITE-EC, based at Av. Naciones Unidas E2-30, Of. 413, Quito. We offer three configurations adapted to the population size and geographical characteristics of each territory.

Legal Framework: Ministerial Agreement No. 061
The Ecuadorian Ministry of Environment establishes the obligation for all decentralised autonomous governments to present plans for the technical closure of landfills and MSW utilisation alternatives. Non-compliance exposes GADs to administrative and environmental sanctions.
Deadline: all municipalities must have an approved programme before 2030.
